YEEE ^^ it should be noted that I had 70-150 ping in that... you don't even want to know how badly I'd destroy all of you in east host :D but yee I save the trash talk for another day. I'll run with 3rd place being the only USA player to stay the full duration and outperform almost everyone ;o

It was great fun doing this again. People that have only played regular BDs think the format is boring because they've played a few shitty BD games with no people in them. What we play in these tournaments is MEGA FUN. Try playing next week before criticizing yo!

Your wolfing turns are the most important because they have the greatest influence on your score. If you mess up as wolf your entire 'line' might mess up and all 8 sheep might make it. If you die or make it as sheep you don't affect the game as much. The point as sheep is hence NOT to score but to help your allies. You want to 'pull' as many wolves as possible on you at all times. Running to the end like a retard does not get you the win; teamwork and map presence does!

Also because of the nature of the game it will not be completely fair. Some people will play one less round at the end unless anyone knows a work-around? Put a different format (3vs2 :S??) and only count scores for the sheep (not leaks?)? I don't know. Lesser effects are also present in that not everyone will play the same map the same number of times and when people leave someone might get to play a round more/less with more/less wolves.

With that said I've put TheSTalker at #4 because he has one less round played than CMK (#5). I think this is fair until we establish a better procedure. Any complaints?

As long as you've agreed what the ending number is it shouldn't be a big deal.  You could look at the ratio of points/plays for the player and add the average.  (i.e. Stalker would get 50.x so be ranked ahead of anyone with 50 or 49)  It's not perfect but might be best compromise.  Changing the format at the end to make it even would give more skewed results.

I think a bigger concern is how you're picking the maps (I'm not there so I don't know).  Would suck to play one less round on a high scoring map consistently, etc.

BD tournies are great idea :)  unlike revo tourny it doesn't require 50 people, and entire teams having to show up or reschedule.

Obviously you have to judge by points not score.  Otherwise you could do legend move, bring entire wolf team on you and die, meanwhile all your allies to score.  Also you would start targeting the specific sheep that's in the lead.
The game only uses the score as a tiebreaker (For lack of a better tiebreaker).

Best thing about BD is wolfing is much more interesting and important, and never face the "1000 farms i give up" in revo.  Also for those that just hate wolf all together, you are wolf much rarer than in revo, where you are usually wolf.

Bulldog tournaments are meant to be fun, not competetive. Thats the reason revo>bd tourneys considering revo brings competition, real sheep tag teamwork, strategy and so on, while bulldog brings runtag, fun, luck etc. This is why hosting revo tournament is MUCH more rewarding  than bulldog, but i agree that it would be hard to host another stwc/realm wars because u need atleast 15-20 players.

This is why i suggest just hosting inhouse revo games with 12 players every week. Bulldog can be hosted for fun, but u need real competition to bring St back on tracks.

Anyway nice iniative as i said. Good job

15-20 player are easy when the signed in people appear and there are like 10 sheeptagger in different games. SO it is no problem to get atleast 4 teams. When the dota guys would form a team ( steko exa amir rival etc. ) we could get more than 5 teams. We should really host a tournament where EVERY old / new sheeptagger is invited and HAS to play. Would be LEGENDARY!

It's unfortunate though because there almost no one here cba host and set it all up so that it doesnt just crash and burn.  Organize etc.

Yeah I'm not going to host Revo and certainly not revo with teams.

Being an organizer is a PAIN THE THE ASS. Most of you don't show up even when reminding 50x and posting the times & advertising all over the place.

Of those that do show up there are always leavers, team-killers, rage-quitters, and ruiners in general. People refuse to cooperate and want to argue bullshit that I shouldn't have to put up with; bullshit that confuses and manipulates most other organizers. Shoop/Cow etc are famous for doing this e.g., leaving a STWC game and spending 50 pages on the forum arguing for a rematch because they 'disconnected.' I'm not saying I can't deal with it, I'm saying it's demoralizing and I don't have the motivation to deal with it.

Add to that people like Elemental that purposely ruin organized games. Add additionally people purposely hosting their own sheep tag games at the time of the tournament just - JUST - to hog players and ruin for you.

Until the community matures I'm staying with BD tournaments because they're easy to organize, they're GREAT FUN for me and the people that play, and I don't need to put in all that much effort.

BD tour statistics suggest that 50% of the people that sign up don't turn up and a further 25% ruin, ragequit, and leave. If only 25% of signups are 'real' then we will need 80 signups and an insane amount of work to cover for 'fake' signups @ 4 five man teams. Nvm the disaster that transpires when people start ruining-leaving-etc.
