Spoofy, note that I wholly agree that since you pay for your bot, you can do anything you really want with it, as this is essentially the same argument I made that since I was the map developer, I could do anything I wanted with the map.
However, realize that your hostbot exists within a context. If you wish them to be viewed as "community" bots rather "personal" bots, then rules should apply to them. Realize that, in the past, bots had been monopolized many times over, and when they get too abusive, it is common to switch to new bots (Behh to WhiS, WhiS to free market, etc). You can lose more than just your monopoly.
