So, this is apparently a huge problem in the USA, and I was wondering what everyone's opinions are on it.
Pink Slime is a beef product manufactured through centrifugation and the use of Ammonium hydroxide, to kill bacteria. It's used up to 50% as a beef filler, but is essentially between 94% and 97% the same as normal lean beef.
In my opinion this is a legit way of 'filling' a burger. And the people who think otherwise are somewhat ignorant as to the process, and are just dragged along on propaganda by, for example, Jamie Oliver trying to sell his own
