Nutrition/Exercise
« on: December 24, 2013, 08:33:04 pm »
keke so MMA season is coming up again and i'm not looking forward to starving myself by eating small **** like salads and sandwitches and exercising like hell (mainly for me is running and going to the gym.) Below is a picture of my abs, i was wondering if anyone could throw me some pointers on nutrition or exercise so i don't have to go through the steady decline of happiness for a month or 2. I guess in order to see where im coming from you would have to see my diet. This was taken from a journal i have been writing in. I eat the mostly the same thing every day.

Breakfast:

banana - 100 calories

coffee and no sugar - 5 calories

cereal + skim milk - 180 calories

Snack (between breakfast and lunch)

Muffin - 440 calories

Water - no calories

Lunch

Tuna sandwitch - 300 calories

BBQ chips - 180 calories

soda - 155 calories

little bit of broccolli - 30 calories

Dinner

Chicken Breast - 280 calories (no skin)

green salad -55 calories

water - no calories

Snack

hot pocket - around 300 calories

so my daily calorie count is 2055. I weigh 155 and i am 5 foot 5, can anyone throw me pointers if they are committing to exercise or a type of diet, what helps? what doesnt? Ty and please reply

(i eat that every day with the occasional mix of something but for the week it pretty much is the same count)

P.S is 2000 calories average?

nice abs, I would suggest taking out the hot pocket, its not a good idea to eat right before you go to bed. What exercise's do you do at the gym?

No soda
More Milk/Water
Change up your breakfast. Throw some Eggs/Toast/Sausage in there.
Eat more for dinner so your not hungry for a snack before bed. As WhiteWolf said it's not good to eat right before you sleep.
Maybe instead of hot pocket/muffin try out some protein bars. I recommend NuGo bars lots of protein and good taste.

Also if your in decent shape try out the 300 workout. It's pretty brutal at first, but after a while it becomes a good quick workout. My first run took me about 45 minutes. After a few weeks I could do it in about 20. It builds muscle in all parts of your body and gives good cardio as your doing high reps and little rest.

Any other questions let me know.

If you are exercizing heavily and trying to build muscle you should exceed 2500 calories, easily. But don't overdue the fatty foods and carbs. Protein, protein, protein.
