Players: Spoofy, Tollison, Trollpro, Polar, Adam, Pab

Mode: 2v4

Rules:
-5 firstblood
-1 other deaths excluding last survivor (another -1 if dead as result of a STUPID risk)
+5 for last survivor
+1 for saves
+1 for every display of skill/good runtag
+3 for MOVIE-MATERIAL performance
+0.5 for epic flames.
+5 for both sheep of longest round of the entire game.

Spoiler (hover to show)

OFFICIAL RESULTS AFTER 18 ROUNDS

1. Tollison +18
2. Polar +9
3. Trollpro +3
4. Adam -1
5. Pab -5
6. Spoofy -12

Theory: the majority of the points given out were based on dying first/last survivor (derived from my previous pointsystem for 5v5 games). there shouldn't be as much emphasis on last survivor in 2v4, and punishment for first death. when i tweek the rules so that first blood/last survivor is changed to -1/+1, the results would be:

UNOFFICIAL RESULTS (after i fine-tune the rules after the games have been played):
1. Polar +13
3. Pab +6
3. Trollpro +6
4. Tollison +2
5. adam -1
6. spoofy -3

Another questionable rule was the +5 for longest round. if we remove that rule alltogether (but keep +1/-1 for firstblood/last survivor), the result would be:

UNOFFICIAL RESULTS 2 (removed longest round points)
1. polar +8
2. trollpro +6
3. tollison +2
4. pab +1
5. adam -1
6. spoofy -3

So yeah, which result do you guys fit reality the best? Which of the rules should get changed for next time? Do I need to add extra rules for next time? Give me your thoughts, but remember that I'm not analyzing every player through replays. The rules have to be stuff you can catch through casual observation of live gameplay. oh, and correct me if i **** up adding the points, my notes were messy as **** and didn't double-check.

+2, last sheep alive, -2, first sheep dead, +2 to all winning sheep teams, -2 all losing sheep teams,  +2 to all winning shepherd teams, -2 all losing wolf teams.

Try that

Why are you using +-2's if everything is +-2? Just use one, lol.

Because it's easier.

But yo, Spoofy brings up a valid point. Even if you don't try to kill ally, if you got bad playstyle of not helping ally when they iso, etc, you get more points.

Perhaps use a decimal value you get for how long your team survives? Make it like 1 = 1 minute (or w/e), possibly exponential. For 1 = 1 minute and exponent at 2:

Team Survival Time    Points
0:15                  0.0625
0:30                  0.25
0:45                  0.5625
1:00                  1
1:15                  1.5625
1:30                  2.25
1:45                  3.0625
2:00                  4
2:30                  6.25
3:00                  9

I don't think the formula should be exponential chakra. Once the sheep team in a 2v4 reaches 2 minutes, it becomes relatively easy to survive a minute or two more. In that case, they'll get an incredible amount of points that you'd normally get in something like 15 rounds xD

My point system is easy and effective in determining skill.  It displays who wins and loses most often and allows people to critique theirselves in a productive way.

I wasn't against your formula, Tolli. I was against using two's instead of one's, because it is essentially the same thing, except instead of getting points like, "12, 8, 4, 0, -2, -6," you get "6, 4, 2, -1, -3," which is simpler to read.

That may be true, Shya, but I believe you are always statistically less likely to survive one more second than to die now. Of course I can be wrong (this can easily be proven by taking a large sample of rounds). And an exponent of 2 seems a bit strong, anyways. Something more like 1.5 or something sounds more reasonable to me anyways (30 seconds -> .35, 1 -> 1, 1:30 -> 1.83, 2 -> 2.83, 2:30 -> 2.95, 3:00 -> 3.2). Maybe even 1.33 or something more complicated than just x^y.

But that's not the point. The point is that the system shouldn't be riggable by trying to TK or by abandoning your ally. Points for length of survival is one way, but so are heavy point allocations for getting your partner out of iso, etc.
