Title: SPARK! A New Debate!
Post by: Nmcdo on April 29, 2016, 04:27:47 pm
What Makes you Better at Sheep Tag, Skill Or Intelligence?

While the game may be dead, there's debate still to be said.

My theory: While skill definitely helps, I believe it is very obvious that intelligence is more important.

Think about it: Would you pick an ally who you know won't die independently, or someone you know would save you?

Another angle is this, lets say you have one team is manifest individual skill, the other manifest intelligence / team work (team work is a part of ST knowledge).

Ex 1. Sheep are individual, wolves are Intelligence.

Result (what I think would happen): Each Sheep would get isolated eventually by good wolf team work and would continue until all the sheep were dead.

Ex. 2 The Wolf team is individualism, Sheep is Team work.

Result: Either no sheep would even get isolated or they would always be saved / bridged. Considering intelligence is factored into escaping from an isolation (constantly calculating the best possible route). While the wolves wouldn't work together and do what they think best. When wolves don't work together it's a recipe for disaster.

Conclusion: Intelligence and skill are correlated highly, you know what you can pull off and what you can't.
But ultimately Intelligence plays a larger role at being better at ST at:

60 % Intelligence 40% Skill

Of course intelligence, arrogance & observation has to do with ones style of playing. ALWYAYS...
if one hates or dislikes a team mate, even an enemy.. it will likely disadvantage the gameplay.

Some peoples arrogance or hath to another player, might affect or interact with the teamplay or the communication.

Somestimes the playing styles doesn't work together at all, even while they know, but individually or in few Situations it works perfect & sometimes players just work perfectly.

sometimes people people just play perfect together, while other times they doesn't get along at all..

mostly the general "caring" & the way you think and behave, has an influence of how you behave ingame, ofc will affect your behavior.

alot of factors has an influence, sometimes you're lucky, sometimes your skill chances from play to play.

But in general I believe that the mayor factors is how big an ego you have, as it mostly describes how you work with a "team",  & behave ingame in general. While of cours, further changes of personality can change the game. (Happy, sad, angry) etc. ;-)

Ncmdo's theory is interesting, that's for sure. I think he may be onto something BIG here.

Let's look at the evidence.

Some of the dumbest kids in the community include: hawkys, ncmdo, insanesheep, sexytrixywolf, tollison, stay_cool, and chakra

Yeah I guess it's proven? Since the above kids are famous for dying fast and having top toilet theories?
