Community Discussion / Old game vs new« on: June 30, 2015, 11:47:49 am »
Hey guys id just like to say imo old version of sheep tag was funner. Version now is too fast (I can keep up I'm a fast masser) but the old game just was less hand eye coordination and more about mind games and strategy... Maybe we've evolved to where we need faster game play but I think we should give older maps a try.. Also anti stack instead of pressing d.. imo were awesome.. I just want more strategy/smarts in this game than just pure skill.. Tell me your thoughts
If we just tweaked older version to help the wolves a lil bit and maybe bring back 3 hit farms but slowed down the game play as sheep itd be a lot funner imo.. It's just when we played today we could only handle like an hour or 2 back when I played 6 years ago in slower game we use to be able to handle 4-6 hours because game was more relaxed and strategic instead of speedy chaos 9

Community Discussion / Best sheep tag strategy« on: June 16, 2015, 05:38:40 am »
alright so in my opinion the best sheep tag strategy for 5v5 is a harrasser/bridger, a solo masser and 3 team massing massing in a spiral kind of direction around the middle
so basically your best rter / masser usually one means the other but anyways you have 3 sheep massing 2 in the lead massing infront of the other 3 getting a specific perimeter under control for other sheep to mass around 1 in the back the other 3 sheep are massing by each other following the first sheep in a coordinated manner. the last sheep is staying by the solo masser to make sure he stays connected because he will be doing risky massing. this sheep has to be very map aware to make sure all sheeps are connected and to make sure you're placing farms correctly to keep the solo masser connected. and if you need more than 1 sheep to get a sheep out of isolation the harrasser/rter harrasses the wolves with his rt as safe as possible while the other sheep bridges. now the first sheep has to be the fastest massing sheep cause he has to stay infront of all the other sheep and has to get a certain perimeter for the other sheep to mass in and constantly is massing in available areas that don't lead to sheep to getting isolated in a corner. for example if the player started out green they'd mass from their spawn point to the trees to the right to get a perimeter isolating the wolves from your sheep to either mass down and left or up and left and continues to find these areas where it cuts wolves off from surrounding too easily. the solo massing sheep upfront has to know where to guide the other sheep. also he can be isolated if the wolves aren't focused on him and just go corner mass and eventually connect the other sheep to his mass. imo the benefit over 5 sheep filling all the roles and massing together as a team is this: you're trying to put the focus on only 2 sheep to keep the wolves attention. the solo masser and the rt'er they're playing some what risky compared to the others. And you're putting specific roles on sheep so you're making sure the sheep with the certain skill set is doing what his skill set provides. if you have 2 main sheep with the wolves attention and they're constantly being targeted by the wolves the other sheep can just mass and make a solid base. and part of the strat is ideally if one of the sheep dies you only lose 1 more at the most. like i said before you're keeping wolf focus on solo masser and rt'er so if solo masser dies his mass is not as much of the bulk as the 3 team massers and the rt'er is just filling in spots to keep the solo masser connected, the rt'er will most likely be connected enough if he's smart to the other sheeps mass if the solo masser dies. if the rt'er dies he's keeping the solo masser masser connected so there's a likely chance the solo masser will then be isolated and might die. if the rt'er dies the other 3 sheep rush to bridge the solo masser he's priority in this strat. like i said this strat is designed to keep focus on 2 sheep and if they don't focus them the solo masser will just go to town and rt'er can just make sure the sheep they're focusing on is connected... he has to be really map aware. now where 5 sheep mass together they have random roles so lets say someone gets disconnected and the closest sheep to him is your worst rt'er and isn't good in high risk intense situations. he might screw up and die while trying to bridge or just might take too long to bridge. yeah you could have all 4 other sheep come help bridge but what could turn out in that is the wolves play well and isolate a good number of sheep if they seperated 3 sheep from the main mass they tried to help atleast 2 of them will die. and their masses are coordinated but random so if they killed one sheep he could have had everyone connected to go up and left if they were on the bot left side so all the wolves would have to do is cut right and bam you're in a corner. the point of wanting the wolves to try and kill your lead masser is his mass is ideally supposed to be infront of all the other sheeps mass so all the other sheep can just form in and fill in the blanks. and the rt'er is making sure to harrass the wolves trying to kill him and keep him bridged. the flaw in this strat is you have to have 2 very skilled sheep xD. wolf strategy: wolves work in pairs 2 and 2 and 1 to auto the sheep he's the goalie xD. the pair of wolves are both taking a certain side and cutting and ideally forcing the sheep towards the goalie. the goalie wants to always be where the sheeps massing path or escape path is, and always stays infront of the path where majority of sheep are going. if a sheep dies and wolf goes mid you always will have 2 wolves focusing on forcing sheep into corner while the other wolf works on cutting through sheeps escape routes. and the goalie is doing his thing always be infront of where the sheeps massing path is unless it's towards the corner. post your strategyxD sorry mines so long 12
